I feel for you Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, I really do. Israel is getting its ass bombed off and you are understandably upset, which makes it all the more surprising that your objection to the FAA’s no-fly advisory for Ben Gurion is such a big item on your agenda.
Ben Gurion is admittedly the safest airport in the world. El Al is the safest airline. Hell, they even have missile countermeasures — though your spokespeople usually don’t explain they are for different kinds of missiles than those from the Hamas Air Force and not nearly as effective as your average military airplane’s.
The Ukraine is a broken and scary place, so badly fractured it will never be the same. The defeat of communism, manufacture red in the fertile mind of St. Ronnie of Regan and his zealous acolytes is growing back from whence it came…out from under the thumb of the Evil Empire. Gone are those eyes that showed Bush the Lesser Putin’s very soul, replaced by the cold, hard eyes of a killer of countries and people – the eyes of a brutal thug and thief.
The situation in the Ukraine is the perfect demonstration of one of my guiding principles, “You can’t speak rationally to a person who is irrational.” In this case, throwback Vladimir Putin is the irrational one. He was a leader in the Cold War Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) era that believed, “you won’t kill me if you know I will kill you in return.” The acronym MAD was ironic…and not in a good way. If that isn’t irrational, what is?
