Newly minted gay Ken Mehlman may be a hypocrite, but being a hypocrite is a free perk that comes with the First Amendment. After all, the Constitution allows free speech, it doesn’t say anything about hypocritical speech.

For nearly 20 years DADT opponents have held tightly to the illogical belief that gay people only become gay when asked if they are gay. One reason DADTers give for keeping DADT alive is that military units would dissolve into pits of undisciplined chaos. This logic seems to suggest that only straights can foster leadership and morale. Think again delusional kiddies.
