Thanks to everyone who asked about my recovery.
The recovery is coming along relatively quickly according to the hand surgeon. I’m out of the sling and splint. The incision is healing. I still have some minor pain that I can mostly take care of with a compression bandage and some ibuprofen. I have some limited mobility, but it changes from day-to-day depending on swelling and other factors. It may take up to a year to tell how much mobility I’ll get back. Occupational therapy starts Monday. We don’t know how much I’ll need yet.
Best of all, I can type for short periods.
I’ll see if I can crank some short pieces out soon. Stay tuned.
I’ll be unusually quiet for the next few weeks. I had surgery in my left arm because my pinkie finger went dead. Hence, everything is now single-finger typed…and I can barely type with 2 hands.
