The Omnipotent Poobah Speaks!

Your Fearful Leader

There are a few new Junior Poobahs and several returning mini-mes on the blog list. Please give them your patronage.

As an FYI, I clean out apparently dead blogs using no particular logic other than they don’t seem to have been update since yesterday or 1923 – whichever comes last.

If I’ve accidentally dropped you today or in one of the past purges I apologize from the bottom of my Stalinist purging heart. Please let me know if you aren’t truly dead and I’ll put you back in the mix.

If you link here or want to link here, let me know. I try to be discriminating, but if you meet the Junior Poobah Legion standards I’ll gladly return the favor – just don’t expect quick action. This is the busy time of year at of Omnipotent Poobah Intergalactic Omnimedia headquarters.

You can also stop by my Facebook page and Like Me, Really Really Like Me.  (https://www.facebook.com/omnipotentpoobah)

Please return to your normal tasks.

New Blog Feature: The Collected Wisdom of the Omnipotent Poobah

The Poobah is wise beyond his years. That’s especially difficult since he is older than the universe or 6,000 years old, whichever suits your theist or atheist views.

He’ll be offering all the daily wisdom you can take right here on The Omnipotent Poobah Speaks! His pre-December 2011 wisdom and comments about that wisdom on Facebook.

Just click the blogroll entry or the Collected Wisdom button under the page header.

Update on the Dead Pinky

To those who’ve asked:

  • The cubital tunnel surgery on my left hand has only been partly successful. I still can’t control the pinky and my ring finger goes in and out depending on the time of day. If it doesn’t improve more in the next 3-4 months, we’ll need to discuss a muscle transplant. It might not be as successful as the current issue.

Dead Pinkie Update

Thanks to everyone who asked about my recovery.

The recovery is coming along relatively quickly according to the hand surgeon. I’m out of the sling and splint. The incision is healing. I still have some minor pain that I can mostly take care of with a compression bandage and some ibuprofen. I have some limited mobility, but it changes from day-to-day depending on swelling and other factors. It may take up to a year to tell how much mobility I’ll get back. Occupational therapy starts Monday. We don’t know how much I’ll need yet.

Best of all, I can type for short periods.

I’ll see if I can crank some short pieces out soon. Stay tuned.
