Thanks to my former host – an outfit apparently run with all the slapdashery of ex-banking/insurance company CEOs – I lost everything in all the previous versions of The Omnipotent Poobah Speaks. I’m still rebuilding, but hope to be ready to go back up sometime in the next week.
Please save me the sad reminders about backing things up. First, they were being paid to do it. Second, I backed up my own copies just in case, only to find they had been corrupted – probably before I downloaded them locally. Thirdly, they backed up their copies to the same server where the site resided – it’s funny how a server crash will reveal small stupidities like that.
